garlic is pumping now

and I need to watch for bats with this bunch getting bigger now

lemons are nice and juicy

funny how after a lick of this green mould I can skull the lemon juice right out of the lemon :drooling:

gunna get a few over time this year

and I've just sprayed some watered down milk around the mulch under the trees and in the veggie garden and the composter

that'll feed all the bacteria and kickstart some life on a lower level erfect:

Just picked my pineapple which i thought had 3 'heads' to replant.
Turns out i was not wearing my glasses at the time and i reckon it has at least 5.. maybe 7 that can be replanted

Question for you Silver if i may- i have some medium size 60mm Black Russian tomatoes on a 6 ft plant and i am wondering if they will continue to mature or stay green now that the cooler temps are on us in Brissie?

I have a few white flowers on the go at the end of June
there are
African Daisy (but they seem to flower all year round)

Star Jasmine (beautiful perfume)

And that last Zygo Cactus (frilly one)

There's always pawpaws too (but we won't count them lol)

So with my beans this year I've planted them in clumps as an experiment. I imagine that in nature when a plant finishes it's life with some uneaten pods left behind, that the seeds in that pod all being in close proximity to each other would all sprout together most likely as well. So here's most of my beans this time so far.

not sure if it will give me a lot of beans at once.... or whether it will extend the harvest by having the most dominant plants fruiting first in line with the others towing the line a bit.
we'll see.

They were all planted at once.... just a rough job... some will get more sun than others too. You can already see the differences showing (probably cause some were maybe deeper, and some maybe the shade had the ground a little cooler.... that could'a slowed some a bit too).

Tried that today, but can't stomach it anymore.... too many small bits that resembled cooked maggots(that's the second time now for me), so that ship has now sailed for me for forever nore (unless I cook my own from scratch)

I made the mistake of planting way too many seedlings for the garden bed space available to plant them all..
Im also having an issue with something attacking the leaves of some plants and leaving holes in them :8
Other wise Im please with how everything is growing ..even have some tomato plants beginning to fruit... :inlove:

Looking great nucopia erfect:
You can keep your seedlings small and retard tbeir growth a bit by putting all like types in close in seperate pots (clumped together)... then you can just replace a plant if you lose one or fill in some space if you find the room later on with them.
I've not tried it myself, but you can make a spray based on garlic and chillie that is supposed to keep chewing insects at bay from your leafy veggies.
In the old days gardeners used to just break the insects neck terminally if they caught them chewing on leaves and throw them down into the garden to join back into the cycle of life... that worked too.

Similar story for me and they did very well.
Long story shortened ended up with wet packets of bean seeds 3 months ago, just threw them in the garden and raked it over. Up came all these random plants some bush and some climbers. Can't believe I'm picking beans in winter. Bush beans finished some time ago and climbing beans just finishing off to collect some seed. Also gave up planting carrots in rows some time ago, now I just grow a small forest of them, and they do okay.

What ever is feasting on the leaves seems to prefer munching the darker sprouts collies and broccoli leaves ..

nucopia some insects show up in the dark if you use a UV light.... if it's only some plants out of lots getting bitten into then it could be a grub that's not travelling very far(localised damage).
