Decided that my veggie patch is not getting enough light and I am going to buy my veggies

I had a mate when I was young who used to sell his " home grown" eggs. He would sell a few dozen a week to the suburbanites and was the king when it came to pocket money. Problem is he only had about five chickens. He used to buy the eggs then smear some chicken poop on them to make it look convincing

Experiment started. Have about enough oil in the can to burn for a week.

frost doesn't finish here until October.

Plantfugees inside hiding from the cold. These are the survivors. I thought I lost the boganvillia but it re sprouted a few weeks ago.

Oh the joys of buying fluro lights online, out of 3 units only 1 has arrived un-broken lol
Tried Bunnings globe, half the wattage and looks yellow.
Bunnings has finally failed me lol

That is indeed a tasty plant to grow. Haven't grown it for a while. Love it with roast beef sandwiches.

Picked another 2 brocs today. One is for tonight's dinner. The other one? no idea.

I thought this stuff from the asian lettuce punnet was a bit hot.... lookin like it is that red mustard stuff. You have to nose breath when you eat it too (or it will take your breath away)

The black russian tomatoes have a few starting to ripen

And I have some lettuce coming up(seen them the other day when I accidentally stepped on some..... shook the old seed heads here a while back)

I wonder if they will crowd that prickle out

May I ask how you achieved the size of your lemons, has the size increased from what you have fed the original tree or have you re-grown trees from the seeds of your largest lemons?

My patch is a mess at the moment. Totally overgrown with stinging nettle.
Nearly finished the brocs and got the first cauli today.
