I know they taste nice from the back yard but after all the attempts feeding the bugs and birds I buy the truss tomatoes from Woollies.

Cant beat a backyard Tommy, especially Romas, like eating plastic out of the Smarket.
After many years of neglect my native orchid has flowered.

That's the thing with many Orchids, treat them too well and they don't produce. Just need to ensure that the old dead bits get trimmed off every couple of years. Mine actually like being crammed into pots, but I re-pot every few years with some orchid mix.

I reckon it's probably ten years old, only the second time it's flowered.
My mother used to grow Orchids and also partake in Bonsai. Truly an artform.
For some reason it seems to be stuck on a wall.
Anyway time for a rant. It seems to be that our all knowledgeable puppets from another muppet have been manipulated into trying to legislate what type of netting we can use on our veggie gardens. Well **** my brick. Pretty sure theres more important things to worry about. Apparently now it has to be white and no more than 5 mm square as to not catch the fingernails of crazy vegans and animal rights knob jockeys. Well I say screw u Ill use whatever netting Ive got. Other alternative is lead and that works just fine in my world. ( sorry if Ive offended any crazy vegan who wants to save the world) no not really , go stick your head in a veggie press. :fistpump:

Zuch (yellow and green) came out today, couple in pots, rest into the plot.
Grosse lisse seedlings have stalled, I assume deficiency lock out due to cold, shame, but a bit ovwr over 20c weather should fire them up.
Dwarf beans ticking along, same with peas.
Both types of strawberries gone crazy, and the cat buffet (mint, grass, and nip) also out of control.
Alyssum both 10+ years old and new seeds both went boom and Mrs GT already spying on them for her new backyard garden.
Put Pumpkin, watermelon, more zuchs, lettuce, Romas, squash in the cooker, hopefully some more seed leaves in the next few days to give my enthusiasm another boost.
Have a number of other things to throw in the trays this weekend, just dont wantvto get too overwhelmed, fine line between being happy to being over run.
Ill get some pics up over the weekend. :Y:

so this is over a couple of months

so..... the veggie patch can heal you up.
that growth decided it liked me and was getting bigger all the time.
