Heya team, recent entrant into the world of prospecting and have what is likely a very silly question to ask.
Basically can gems/gold theoretically be found anywhere or are there particular places where there wouldn’t be a point looking?
I’m asking because I have been an avid hiker for several years and prefer to bushbash my way into godforsaken areas of bush land where it’s unlikely many have stumbled upon before and encounter a lot of beautiful creeks on these trips. It’s only just occurred to me that there is the potential for some of these places to have gems or stones within.
I was wondering whether there would be any benefit to having a sticky beak through each of these areas or if there are certain geological formations that would mitigate the likelihood of any such discovery?
As stated, there is probably a common sense answer to this but tbh I have just as much of an idea of where to look for gems as the fish that swim through them.
Any tips would be awesome. Thanks in advance! cheers legends
