OK, now it's getting tricky. Yes, it does seem to have different names, depending on the source.

But I think Flowerpot got The Grand first.
I read it was 'The Grand Heritage Hotel', but that was me mis-interpreting the headline, I think. Doh! Sorry about that Flowerpot!

Having another read, I now believe it was The Grand Hotel to start in 1883, when it was built.
Then when they turned it into a booze-free hotel, it became known as The Grand Coffee Palace.
Then 10 years later they re-instated the liquor licence and it went back to The Grand Hotel.
Then in 1923 it became The Windsor, named in honour of His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales, who attended a luncheon there.

And it is a magnificent old world hotel - one of my favourite places in Melbourne - if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend a visit back to the bygone era of grand hotels. They just don't make them like that anymore!

Over to you Flowerpot! :Y: :)

Fair call Megsy. I did see the heritage reference but assumed it wouldn't be called that when it was new. ;) :D

It's an exhibit at the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre in Tasmania of the Beaconsfield gold mine that collapsed.

:Y: spot on megsy :Y: your go.
That model was very interesting , i was a little dissapointed that it didnt mention how big the area hollowed out is but good place to visit anyway, also of interest is the fact it is slowly sinking and they have already rebuilt the area around the winch tower . They say it will take about 50 years and it will be full of water.

You got it Booney! Or that's what the government says anyway... :)

Over to you mate!

Ok , Who was known on the goldfields as the bridegroom of the miners flag the Southern Cross , and name the three women who sewed it .

Henry Ross
The flag was sewn by Anastasia Hayes, Anastasia Withers, Anne Duke and possibly also
Eliza DArcy

Well done ,extra points , There is no evedence of who designed the Eureka Flag but it was Captain Hernry Ross who took the design to the three women Anastasia Withers ,Anne Duke ,Anastasia Hayes and possibly Eliza D'Arcy to ask them to sew it and have it ready for the meeting taking place at Bakery Hill at 2.00pm on Wednesday the 29th November 1854. Your turn Mrs flowerpots.

Apparently according to the quiz question I found, it is a certain distinguishable colour, keep guessing.

Hint. Its a secondary colour :D
