How much did it cost you slip disc???

advertised for $450 with two sets ni-cad battey packs, recharger, and the belt pouch for control box. the sov. gt is later model and worth the extra if you can get one. :)

Yes - I noticed that the GT comes with a straight shaft (do your arm a favour and take the control box off the shaft - allowing you to drop the the detector into the water without damaging the box and is significantly lighter) - and I also notice I have a few more controls on the GT - ability to switch operating bands so it doesn't interfere with other detectors like the CTX3030 - a iron mask which this does not seem to have - a pin point function - and the ability to manually ground balance with Track and Fix.

So there are quite a few differences between the models.... and I can tell you from experience that you want the band switch if you have a detecting partner or you won't be able to be within 50 feet of each other! ;)

not worried about band switch as I hunt alone, mostly by my self. lol. I was gonna try and stretch to an explorer but got a few things on the go. coupla gold rings and we see then. :D

Hi Treasureman, I like your multi tool pocket knife and candle snuffer(nice finds).
I really like the little silver ring as well(good pickies happening too).

Square bottles pack together more efficiently, nice find Treasureman(magical detector).

Hey Treasureman very nice finds mate. That pipe looks like a Briar and will polish up beautifully as will the little brass candle snuffer.
Were they found on an old house or church block. love em!
Cheers
Mackka

I'd say it was a discarded officers pipe(couldn't be seen using one with a chip like that one has old chap).

They were found in the local scrub land macka. Most of these finds. Ive got a new spot this morning that was an old house site that has been demolished. Fingers crossed. :) metal detecting my new hobby. Has taken over my fishing hobby lol. Very similar. Many little bream caught (small items) however im hanging out for a jew fish ;) (worthy item) ;)

No special metal today just this old Ross`s Belfast bottle. 125-175 years old. Found sticking out of the ground. Intrigued by its thickness and colour i pulled it out and realised it was unique. Wont be going back to that spot. Nothing but junk.
