After numptys suggestion in post #1524 to use the brass wire brush on em(the two damaged coins experimented on using EC) I did the deed.
Heres the two coins I am referring too.
And here they are after that bout of electrolysis.

Well here they are now.
That's what a soft brass wire brush does when you use it to help clean a silver coin.
Note how it really rips in.
Here I used BP to finish the cleaning of the upper half so we can copare the difference.
Note that he still looks like he's had small pox(just that he survived it).
This side I thought I'd just use bicarb on, just in case I ever want to admire it slightly one day.(ha)
And the other one ,... well let's just use it as a good example to never, ever, EVER
EVER use a soft brass wire brush on silver.

Sumation:- Using a wire brush in the pursuit of cleaning silver coins is a NO NO !
