Just the camera on a Samsung Galaxy Core Phone Neil, but for the closeups I hold a jewelers loupe up to the lense of the phone and angle a torchlight to help highlight the coin and its features (sometimes I need 3 hands lol). :Y:

Went to the beach ,.... what quiet quiet sand, about 4 targets for a couple of hours grace while Mrs S trolled the beach doing her beachcomer thing,

Might need an electrical cleanse Heatho ,.... recon I've got a backlog of finds that will need that type of attention , will keep me busy for ages when I decide to catch up on that endeavor.

Was hoping to find the chain that went with it too Dan, but not to be, at least I know there is most probably a chain there still ,... maybe I need something that can see through beach sand like looking through clear water(one day perhaps).

N I was thinking by the weight that this musta been from the crown jewels,

but alas, on closer inspection it has no hallmark and no carratage

so it was no wonder it was in the ground ,.... the search for that lost treasure was given up before it ever started. :lol:
luckily there were a couple of PD's
one of which was silver

and it was the first coin of the day too.
I don't mind the 43's as long as they are silver. :Y:
