Cheers guys, I had to join in after browsing this thread and seeing the excellent work by others with at least one with a laser engraver, and sandbagger has access to cnc plasma.

You are correct Sandbagger, I can convey my ideas and designing to the computer screen with great patience, with CNC tools you can bring those ideas to life.
I may not have the patience or articulation with a chisel file and sandpaper etc like you.. It is still a lot of time and thought in designing, fits with my skill set.
I posted a few different techniques and materials I can do or have worked with.

I like Manpa's coin display idea, I will redesign a ver to use as medal displays for our club.

Nucopia, thanks, I started making the wood plaques as awards and perpetuals for our club, I get a lot of satisfaction and pride when complete.
I am a metal and electronics tech person, as a fact I hate sawdust and don't normally like or know how to work with wood, I am loving it now.
It has been a big learning curve and I still have a lot to learn about working and finishing wood.

I think keeping splitting this section could result in work being over looked, regardless I would frequent any areas where people showcased any work or projects they did.

Cheers.

I thought you had a builds by baz thread
Crack scratcher - crevicing tools ?
Maybe you should have a few more :p

Oh. Yeah that's just for the crack scratchers and gold related videos. I was asked by others to post my creative stuff in this thread a while back. If anyone is unhappy with me posting this stuff here, I'll happily cease and desist and just stick to gold related stuff.

Baz.

No Baz I don't want you ceasing anything keep posting mate it's in the "general" chat threads and I'm sure I'm not alone in saying this. If for any reason you choose otherwise how about you and Decoy create a CNC thingamajig thread :) love ya projects fellas  keep'em coming :power:

Maybe hold off any new posts in the "Today I bought" threads wouldn't want to see any requests you have your own thread in this topic either :)

Stick with the "Topic" title :perfect:

No worries guys. Just FYI, my main motivation behind all the, "Showing off" (I make no apologies, it's just something I've always done.) is to inspire others to have a go. What I mean is - I have no formal training in any of these arty creative things and not much machinery either, nor money. I use what I've got and apply myself to an, "Improvise, adapt and overcome" principle.

Doesn't matter if you have very little money, materials or tools, have a go with what you've got, practice, pull it apart and start again. You will surprise yourself very quickly and there's no feeling quite like it. All of a sudden you are a producer, a contributor to the world, with tons of self worth. You are no longer just a consumer.

Just build it.

Baz.

Good work Baz. Without people like you the forum wouldn't be of interest to the broad range of people we have now. There are enough areas of interest to open and view whatever suits you at the time. We just have to take care that we don't get too over exuberant and hijack somebodies thread :)

Exactly. We all have a hidden talent, we just need a bit of inspiration to bring it to the fore. Sort of like how I ended up in the porn industry :Y:

It is the same for me, however I find there are people that dont openly talk about what they make, maybe out of fear of negative criticism.
I helps find others that have similar interests, it engages conversation, I welcome others criticism or ideas, it gives me more things to try and many times has helped me learn new processes and techniques.
And I wont hide the fact that I feel warm and fuzzy about what I achieved.
