I am so glad they are not painted Manpa the way you display the woodgrain is exceptional.

I like them just beeswaxed too, even these came up ok.

I thought some time ago Id have a crack at a knife, not up to Bazs standard but overall Im happy. Pine blade, jarrah handle, beech pins.
Blades reasonably thin, last pic shows light through it.

Good way to teach kids some of the basics of knife making, without so much of the risk. Nice one mate.

This has been a completely organic build, which is ironic. Starting with an articulated skeleton sketch, the build has grown all on it's own, completely dependant on material at hand, off the scraps floor or out of the workshop bin.

Added a few fillers and finishing bits here and there, while I have the lathe cleared. Joint hubs installed and member struts capped. Undercoated too. Two intakes built, attached and primed. I used some PVC pipe, some pine and some cable ties chopped up.

Part of the 1:1 Mk II Colonial Viper build is making the flight suit and accessories. I thought of our own fighter pilots when they are downed in enemy territory and wondered why a Viper pilot would not have some sort of tactical combat/survival knife on the person. I know they fight in space, but they also do atmospheric assault. Cylons are not just robots, but humanoid too, plus human Cylon agents. One would never know who was friend or foe, so though a knife might be useless against a centurion....

I took geometries, form and colours from the MkII and translated them into a fitting blade.

All that's left now is to put in an edge choil, give it a final polish and etch the artwork onto the blade.

Just playing up the shed and knocked out these, dont know if any of the coin collectors are interested in them.
These are made of Jarrah and beeswax polished. They all have very small hole which goes all the way thru allowing you to remove any coins which may be tightly held. obviously some coins will have a small gap around them but I will minimise this as much as possible. If I do not have a cutter to suit your coin I will attempt to source one.
Im happy to knock these out to suit your coin diameters for $5.00 ea plus postage. PM me if you are interested.
If anyone has any suggestions Im happy to hear them.

Not sure if you guys have seen the Iron Man suit I made out of steel, but a mate of mine put together a video with his editing skills, a heap of my photos and videos etc. documenting the build from start to finish and it's first appearance in public.

I'm currently working on my own video editing skills, so I don't have to rely on others to put them together for me. I hope to have all the skills up by the time I'm finished building the Viper.

Seriously you are a very talented guy :clap: :clap: :clap: might as well turn it into bucks Baz and then you could have your own Baz Builds studio we only live once Baz and you my friend could cash in on the US SiFi Super Hero market big time imo.

Didn't have to jump through any legal hoops mate. I am not profiting from the suit and my charity activities with it are within the legal terms of fair use. Lots of cosplayers use HALO, Star Wars and other get ups to raise money for charities and it's all above board. I actually messaged, tweeted and emailed MARVEL studios and many of the actors, Stan Lee himself for years while building it, never to receive even the slightest acknowledgement from any of them.

One day I might get an offer from Universal, Disney, Weta Workshops, Lucasfilm, Marvel, DC, who knows? Wanna be a lucrative offer to pull me away from Australia though. ;P

In the mean time, I'll just keep making millions of dollars with Baz crack-scratchers....

Good to see so many artistic peeps on here, I was checking out some of Baz's builds on youtube.. some great work there.
