HeadsUp

Will get to use over Chrissy so will report back. From what I've read it says:
"Vibra-Quatic will detect a small coin sized target up to 2.5 inches but will detect much deeper on larger objects...

Remembering I initially got these for us to use while diving / snorkelling- good for up to 100 metres - it also says the number of pulses of vibration will increase telling you how close the target is to the tip. There's quite a bit of FAQ'S if you google.

Not today but on saturday I bought a lotto ticket for 70million for tuesday.
With some luck I will never have to work ever again

Mrs Redfin went for a walk the other day and covered many kilometres after finding some ruins and diggings not mapped.
She was sitting and thought of the consequences should she hurt her self.
No phone coverage out there at all.

Meanwhile, back in camp, wickets were falling and so were empty cans. ;)

UHF and GPS both very useful .

pity the price is so high

handheld UHF is 90 bucks each

handheld GPS 60 bucks

a farmer got lost last week for 4 days , and he knew the area he was in . 8)

Bit of Christmas reading material ...... couple of James Flett books.
Maryborough, 1st Ed. and Dunolly 2nd Ed.
Love picking up these historical references especially when they relate to an area I also have stereoviews of (I don't in this case :( ).

Just need someone to do a good job of wrapping the dust jackets in mylar to provide a bit of protection to maintain them.
Happy Hunting, Tom

The ability to see each other's position, and camp and talk/text in the one unit with a Lithium battery is worth it to me.

Your arms and back will thank you John :D
Yep I had a go at making my own which worked and can still be used for lighter detectors but for the ATX I think a decent harness is justified.

Today I bit the bullet and bought a Minelab ProSwing harness.

Let us know what you think John, after trying it out on undulating ground, and after having the odd dig.
My opinion was not high, but it may be just me and my poor tired body.
