Nice gaiters chewy, might need some more protective footwear though. A brown or tiger would use those shoes as tooth floss.

Yeah cheeky bloody joe blakes. I have a nice bullet proof pair of Oliver ATS to compliment the gaiters when out bush. I was just to lazy to put them on for the pic. Although I've only had the boots a little while and worn them prospectng once. B4 that I wore the dental floss. I haven't even seen a snake when I've been prospecting, but I've seen a few pics. I saw 1 yesty of a big black bugga. Looked pretty long. So thts what got me checking out the gaiters.

Yeah Chewy, I hadn't seen one prospecting either until about 6 months ago. I was waliking along a 4wd track (two dirt tracks with 1 foot high grass in the middle) at Ophir. Was keeping an eye out for snakes and stopped to look at a mullock heap and creek when I heard a loud tap. Looking down I saw a red bellied black snake at my right foot, he had had a go at my shoe and hit the plastic reflective strip on the back of my shoe. It took me a split second to think, thank god its a red bellied and not a brown or tiger snake, then I lifted my foot and he slithered off on his way to attack something more edible than a size 10 jogger. That's the 1st time ive been hit by a snake 34 yrs of playing in the bush and hopefully the last. We have bought a snake bite kit (compression bandages plus splints) and 2 walkie talkies (15 km range). Hopefully they will never be needed, but just in case we or someone else is in need of it.

Yeah not a fan of snakes, got their place I spose, but not attached to any part of a human. We get a lot of tigers down here, a few copperheads and blackies, the occasional browny, so I'm used to watching where step out bush, but it's them ones ya don't see until ya way to close for comfort I'm worried about. Got the snake bite kit in the 1st aid kit to.

Got my Detech 6' mono coil today. Opened the box and couldn't believe how tiny it was.... going to be perfect for the few spots i have in mind for its use. Now just waiting for MinersDen to let me know that my Coiltek 14" Mono Elite has come in. Got to say great service from "ppink33" off Ebay, as my coil arrived very quick. Now just waiting on a video from Jonathan Porter "The Seta Project" so I can Understand how to use the gpx 4500 a bit better.

Detech coils are great havent tried the 6 inch but the 8 dd was super sensitive on my sd2000 and the 4500

got my aluminum cam lock fitting today, much better than the crappy screw on plastic fittings that came with my pump, pretty happy about that
cant beat camlocks mate.... make the day so much more enjoyable i remember always looking for rubber bushes and twisting ahhh painfull
