I was going to post this in NEK MINNIT moments but has a home here.

So I had another massive week at work and Mrs GT put the hard word on to wash the towels. This means going to the laundromat for drying. She put it in "let's have date night" ( )so ordered a pizza, and took the washing down, picked up pizza and put a few coins in. I could barely get a word in as the Phillipines lady was going crazy on the mobile phone and the bogans went back and forth. I went to get a coffee 3 doors down and Mrs GT insisted on coming. Paid for the coffee headed back to laundromat.
Nek minnit (literally 2 mins later) lady on the phone is bolting out the door and Mrs GT starts losing her mind. "THEY'VE TAKEN MY GOOD BASKET!!!!"
I don't sweat the small stuff but Mrs GT she has a short temper about domestic accessories. I on the other hand find myself laughing and pointed out she placed it on the lost property table. She won't hear of it and begins interrogations on the lady as she's trying to leave who's stammering about a couple who just left and "I see nothing though". Poor lady. So leaving her alone I sat hearing about these low life's who steal things even with security cameras for the entire time between folding, the car ride home, and even putting them away. That gal does not run out of steam for a while once she's been wound up.

I hope for their sake Mrs GT doesn't find them, ain't no greater fury than a woman scorn from losing her quality washing basket. Her birthday is coming up and I have a pretty good idea of what I'm now going to get her just for a good shist stir hahaha.

Quote, "And thanks dwt you're spot on, my mate Yobs has a bad back but loves his prospecting, and the rocker is best for his back, no matter how nasty people talk about us, it's water off a ducks back" End quote,
Now this quote was taken from the section under Rockin Yobskin yeehaaa, I visited this section just before to see how everything panned out after Myzama had a dummy spit at yobskin, but alas I couldn't find my posts, they have been removed!,
According to forum rules moderators can remove posts if they are seen to be unfit for the forum, fine fair enough, I've had posts yanked before and never had anything to say about it, but this situation like another where mbasko and creekbed were having a little verbal duel (and if I can find the thread I'll post it here) there was some moderating done to those pages as well, in that instance creekbeds post wasn't removed, it had just a few lines removed, I know this because from reading the section at 5am in the morning, and then logging on after 8pm that night creekbeds post had changed, not removed, just a line or two taken out, which I might add after rereading the topic again made poor old mbasko out to be the "not playing nice in the school yard kid!"
SO MY POINT BEING!, if some sections, posts, threads are going to be moderated (have comments, posts removed) then how about we do it thoroughly, I don't think it's fair to one forum member to have his posts left the way they were and another forum members changed, when you go back through the thread half the ***** makes no sense at all, and to be quite honest it's bloody frustrating, especially when you log in to read a thread and A: it's been fully removed B: random words lines or quotes have been removed, and finally C: nothing to say what has been changed or moderated.
MODERATORS, don't get me wrong guys you do a f###ing bang up job, thankless, and time consuming I could only have at a guess, so I would like to make a simple suggestion, that maybe, if you mod's wouldn't mind thinking about this idea, if you guys/gals :| could perhaps put a post saying that you have modded out words, lines, quotes or posts, just to let us know why the thread we are reading (after being moderated) makes no fricking sense!!!
:D

Hope I don't get sent on a walk about!!! 8.(
PS, I thought this to be the best for this post, Members only,

VENTED :(

Haha nice vent and well said it is an issue actually. Tell you why. Originally when nugget asked us to mod he gave us all a section to mod in. Problem was that we had to rely on that mod logging in and addressing arguments or general bad taste comments for a section .
So we made a change when harri took over and everyone has access to all threads now from an admin capacity.

On occasion what happens is one of us will be reading a thread and editing and another will be deleting a comment. Once either of these things are done theres no going back. Anoying but true... also theres an option to delete all comments after a post this is used frequently but....... this does not mean that someone hasnt already hit reply and taken 10 minutes to write their reply then hit post and walk away. Guess what.. now you have giberish and unless someone reports that its atuffed we dont know.

Hope that makes sense. Its a catch 22 of sharing the load... sometimes we dont have the time to talk to each other about what weve done. But some of us do make a comment saying edited by mod due to x

Peace GD

Welcome to our world. PMSL.
It is very, very hard to keep the line of conversation flowing in the right direction and some times, It does really need to end up in the comedy section.
.
Feck, You find a blue going on and you go into it to sort it out,
Ramjet is thinking about it and deleting,
Golddigg is deleting like crazy,
Jaros is trying to add decorum,
Tathradj just slams it,
GoldPick is wondering what to do and just deletes the entire post,
DWT is sitting back and wondering WTF is going on.
.
In the mean time, What we have captured in the post that we are typing like crazy or removing the crap, as in cache,
Gets posted back again.
.
That is when every one try's to blame each other for what has happened and the Mods section gets hammered by us trying to
work out WTF has gone wrong and who has done what.
That is when you have found that the backup you made has gone pear shaped and disappeared into cyberspace.
.
In the mean time, A member pipes up and ask's, " Why was that post removed/Modified. "
.
And the cycle starts again. PMSL.
.
We need another Lucky Streak.

I do turn off the silent edit if I think it is required. :)
Just to let every one know I have visited.
If you see a like by me and things are going South.
I am watching. 8)

Lost my Job last Friday !!!!!!!!!
This was after being told there wasnt much work on so I drew the short straw . Rang up two - three times a week checking for 2 weeks , to be finally told " I have put a contractor on " I asked what I had done wrong and he said " nothing " ???? I said " Thats pretty f#$%%ed , what about some loyalty ? I have been with you for two years " He said "its my business and I will run it how I want "
So now I am totally screwed with 2 loans plus everyday expenses and no work in the Mudgee area !!!!!!!
Some bosses are just a-holes !
Not to mention he has been under paying me $2.14 ph for the last 2 years with no paid break , travel etc !

Google Fair Work Commission for your state, they should be able to put you on the path for getting back pay etc, also talk to them re redundancy / unfair dismissal and does it apply to your situation?
Good luck with job hunting, I hope a better job comes your way quickly.

That sucks mate. Was it a full time position or casual work? Not sure what the legalities are in nsw. Its possible he cant afford to pay you ie. Super wages insurance etc vs contractors fixed hourly rate.
Sometimes its a question of go under or find another way maybe hes under pressure and thats where his lack of empathy is coming from either way no vloody fun on uoir end. Hope you find some work soon mate

That's awful Jeff, $2.14 P/H that seems awfully low, do what Bobh suggests and check things out.

Best of luck with getting some justice there.

I have got in touch with Fairwork and I have a case and I also have a case with Fairwork Commission for unfair dismissal . Didnt want to go there but he has p!ssed me off . I knew he was underpaying me , but I shut my mouth to keep my job , nothing to lose now !
He cant be doing too badly , he just went into more debt to buy a Ford GTPV .$65,000 worth !!!!!

good luck with it all mate, i hope you get some satisfaction bit hard to swallow a new car and a sacking in one swoop. personal wealth and commercial wealth are very different beasts though.

Unfortunately most employers have been at it for a while now.
They don't sack people, just do not replace them when they move on.
The contractor/casual worker is preferred now, no holiday pay, sick leave etc.

A large multi national not far from me simply closed for 5 minutes, re opened under a different name.
Then everybody had to re apply for their positions. Result was they got rid of all the slackers, sh!t stirrers,
kept a few trainers and engaged a few temp employment agencies. Now every day, according to the
workload for that day, they get the corresponding number of casuals and can send them home as soon
as the work is done.

Look at the supermarkets with the self serve checkouts, in 10 years there will no check out chicks.

JeffP just expect that he'll be making up a heap of crap about you personally to justify his position. Laugh it off when it comes and let the agencies do their job. I hope it turns out well for you.
Jon

Sorry to hear about your predicament JeffP. I know some loans are just "necessary".
Think positive and keep your name in the job queues-hopefully something will come up.
Cheers Jaros :p

Lot of business/ company managers till this day don't seem to know how to let people go properly, hence the fair work commission.
Being a small business owner, and also an employee I can see both sides of the table, the fair work commission don't stuff around in investigating cases and deliberating them, they know their *****, good luck with it all mate, ;)

If you haven't registered there already, get yourself on the books at Centrelink ASAP, mate. If there's income support or whatever they call it that you'll qualify for after a certain period, I believe the clock starts ticking when you register, NOT when you lost your job.

Ah that's a bum wrap mate. I don't believe there's job security left in this world. We live in times where consultants seem to take up the slack charging premiums created by the casualisation and contractor workforce preference over full or permanent part time work force.
My old man came from the era of the gold watch, we've gone around a few times over all the different jobs I've had but I don't see it the way he does. I grew up in this era of short appointments and/or taking advantage of employees for company benefit. Any bloke out there that doesn't have a plan b is kidding themselves, the employer Axe gets swung every day of the week. I know saying it that won't make you feel better mate, it's a bitter pill to swallow but hopefully you only get caught once.
Go in boots an all mate, hope you get a nice little pay day and something comes along really fast for you.
