Sitting on the bed feeling a bit ordinary. I just had a molar pulled and the anesthetic is wearing off. The first one I've lost for 30 years so I've had a good run :/ I think tonight might be interesting. :|

You'll be right mate. Things that agravate a flesh wound may hurt your mouth so go easy on the salt and stick with baby food. The pain of having a tooth pulled doesn't linger too long or at least not in my case. Had 2 pulled either side a few days apart to make room for braces 5 years ago. I also had a root canal some time back. Worst decision I could have made. The success rate is 70% but I am in the 30% category and suffering with a come and go tooth ache for the last 2 years. Basically I avoid chewing on that tooth. Might get it yanked out next check up and be done with it.
A world of pain.I used to get "migraine earaches" when I was a kid. I used to scream in agony, 8.( then after about 4 years of not knowing what was going on, a doctor discovered an abses (spelling) inside my ear hole. He needled me with local the burnt it out. He couldn't work out why I was still feeling pain after 3 needles of anesthetic then realised he was leaning the quarteriser thingy on a piece of my ear that wasn't deadened

Any gold in that tooth? Asked a dentist for gold amalgam filling once and got a we don't do that any more, I was pretty disappointed.
Got mine polished last week!
Try this if it don't work just drink the bottle
Relieve a toothache. Take a shot of Smirnoff Vodka and swish it over the tooth, allowing your gums to absorb some of the alcohol and numb the pain. Swallow or spit out the rest.

Gold & amalgam restorations are two entirely different things.
All the big refineries (Degussa, Heraeus, Argen etc) still produce dental gold alloys for use today.

Gold is not a problem for restorations, but most people today look for a more aesthetic alternative.
