Dropped a couple in lemon juice for an hour and gave them a scrub with a brass wire brush.... after I checked the dates! So close but no winners.

A nice little locally made pocket watch fob......
then I heard some hooting and hollering from the scrub where a mate was detecting.....
He pulls out a handful of Victorian and Chinese coins then says look in the hole.....

Am liking that coronation medal. I wonder whether the Chinese prospector buried the sovereign with his coins for safe keeping, a very lucky man with that find! :Y:

Think its a gilt sovereign holder..... typical eh I find the empty vessel and a mate gets the filling!
