Hi all, Got a new homestead site to work,I've had my eye on this site for a while now.Finally found out who the owner is and gave him a ring,He was as cool as and gave me permission without even meeting me He also gave me a brief history on the place,it was first settled in the late 18th early 19th century up until 1960ish.And no detectors have been over it.Here's the finds from todays hunt.

The silver

Pennys 1924,1943 x3,1944,1949 x2,1950 x2,1951,1953..Half pennys 1934,1942,1943,1946,1948,1952,1953,1960.

And this little queen Elizabeth brooch/pin.It is hinged and opens...

This cool brass drum plug with flying horse

And some toys

Wow thats one nice area, the drum cap is an old Mobil cap, nice oil collectable. I've never seen one embossed like that.

Cheers everyone.I turned up there this morning not expecting much,turned on the detector and the first signal I got was a penny,most of the penny's and half penny's came from a small area in between the 6 stumps in the picture.I think it must have been the veranda and they have fallen through the cracks.

Great finds
I would be sniffing out a bit too, find those earlier coins and relics that should be nearby. Late 1800's, should be some Victoria's there somewhere.

Little Silver earing or brooch

Hi all,Back to the homestead site for a couple of hours this afternoon.Here's what I found.....

1946 florin,1959 Ramshead shilling,1950 threepence and 1950 penny.

Coin spill!!!Pulled the shilling out first turned around and got another nice signal and popped the florin was happy as,then I stuck my pinpointer back in the hole and found the threepence.Sweet!!
