Spent the morning wandering the showgrounds again,Found the one silver and a few pennys.

Finally got some free time so back to the showgrounds honey hole for a few hours this morning.Here's what I found.

43,44 3d,1912 brit penny,1934 florin-two shillings

Then on my way home I stopped at an old hall site I found on some old maps.And found this..

Hit the showgrounds for a few hours today.Started working a new area.Pretty happy with it so far

1934 sixpence,1921 threepence,1935 farthing and a 1937 coronation medal Here's the medal fresh from the ground,it was about 7 inches down.

Here it is cleaned up a bit...

My first medal of any kind so couldn't be happier

A few other interesting bits,the little brass lid (B.A.HJORTH & CO STOCKHOLM) is off an old primus burner,don't know what the other thing is?

Cheers rocket.Yeah the showgrounds have been good to me The place is junk city!!! but if you go nice and slow there's plenty of pre decimals to be had.Bugger all modern coins though.That suits me but because I'm only chasin pre dec stuff

Some excellent finds once again Rockhound. Love the coronation medal, and as the others mentioned, farthings seem to be quite rare to find these days - still on my list of items to find.
