Anyone watching the Asteroid 2018 MB7? If you go outside now you will see a orange ball on the sky about 11o'clock in the Sky... It is larger than a star and is quite orange compared to the stars. It will be around till the 16th of this month.. Pretty cool. :Y: .. With the naked eye you can see arm like things coming off the sides... I need to get a Telescope I think...

A couple of interesting developments at Spacex. The Crew Dragon has been delivered to KSC in preparation for the in flight abort test. Can't wait to see this. The Dragon will perform an abort when the Falcon 9 booster is at Max Q, the worst possible scenario in any flight. So if it can safely escape this it will be able to abort at any time during the flight.

Mr Steven has had her super sized arms and nets installed for the next attempt to catch a fairing.

Blue Origin had it's 9th test flight of the New Shepard rocket today to test the capsule abort system. It was the 3rd time this booster and capsule have flown. They separated the capsule from the booster before lighting the capsules escape engine. This pushed the capsule higher than any previous flight. 119 kilometers if I remember correctly. I love the shots from the drone as it takes off and lands.

Spacex had a successful static fire test of Telstar 19 mission on pad 40 at KSC today in preparation for Sunday's launch.

LIVE LAUNCH. Tomorrow, Sunday 22nd July, 3.50pm AET. SpaceX is launching a Falcon 9 Full Thrust, Block 5 rocket. The mission is Telstar 19 VANTAGE. A communications satellite built by Space Systems Loral. Covering North and South America.
I believe they will recover the Booster on the drone ship and also attempt to recover one half of the fairing on the upgraded Mr Steven.

Live stream will be here

Also be on the usual Youtube channels. I will post links as they go live if I am online.

Mr Steven is on the west coast they can only attempt a fairing recovery when launching from Vandenberg AFB.

Last night was another Falcon 9 launch which all went well. The first stage booster landed on the drone ship in what they said was the worst sea conditions for any landing so far. NO fairing was captured because of the rough weather.

A Falcon 9 launch tomorrow 7, August at 3.18 pm AEST. This will be the first re-flight of a Falcon 9 block 5 booster.

This Block 5 booster previously supported the Bangabandhu-1 mission and was also the first Block 5 rocket to launch. There will be a recovery attempt for this booster on SpaceX's droneship "Of Course I Still Love You" (OCISLY) which will be positioned out in the Atlantic Ocean. No fairing recovery will be attempted since they only have the ship to do that on the west coast, but they may pick up fairings that have splashed down into the water, but will not be usable again.
