That's very cool. Have you noticed that most people in the control centre looked like they just left Uni?

Very cool indeed Beagleboy. And they are young, aren't they? Isn't great to see the stereotyping of young people couldn't be further from the truth.

Yes a very young crowd. It reminded me of this.....

About
With this mission, SpaceXs Falcon 9 rocket will deliver the Jason-3 satellite to low-Earth orbit for the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), French space agency Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) and the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT). The Jason-3 launch is targeted for a 10:42am PT launch from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California. If all goes as planned, the Jason-3 satellite will be deployed approximately an hour after launch. This mission also marks an experimental landing of the first stage on the SpaceX drone ship Just Read the Instructions. The landing of the first stage is a secondary test objective.

I saw they were going to havago at landing at sea, but tomorrow morning pffft i'll be dreaming of it   probably not be dreaming of something abstract no doubt

Apparently not a successful test this time with a "heavy landing" breaking one of the legs and falling over on the barge. I haven't found any video yet as they lost communication with the landing zone cameras.

Amusing that they can launch satelites and land the first stage but can't keep the cameras online. :8 8)
