Nah sorry not that smart mate. I thought rockers, rocked. I understand the pump idea , just like the old petrol pumps, suck in, blow out.

a double action pump would be better but i only got the single action one so thats my bad

Dream mat in my experience takes around 50mm of fast flowing water to get the vortex to work 100mm is even better, from what I know of rocker boxes you may need a stick 5 to 10mm high to split the bottom box into two sides which just keeps material on both sides during the rock motion, but time will tell if that's necessary.
The old-timers only had leather in the bottom rough side up which was plenty to hold the gold with the low amount of water.
It will be interesting to see if the backed moss flushes out enough or if it just holds way to much blonde sand.
Either way the fun of building and tuning equipment is often more rewarding than using them , looking good Ken and can't wait for you to post pick of it working ?

Yep the moss will show what passes ribs , water flow and angle will soon show how the moss goes , shouldn't lose any over the end be more of a matter if the light material clears or hangs back. Be a ton of fun using it and getting it dialed in that's for sure.
