The old time rocker box i have has a flatter angle than you have a banker or sluice on , but it only has rough leather in floor so not to much resistance.

If mine is to much i can always lift the front a bit

Dream mat in my experience takes around 50mm of fast flowing water to get the vortex to work 100mm is even better, from what I know of rocker boxes you may need a stick 5 to 10mm high to split the bottom box into two sides which just keeps material on both sides during the rock motion, but time will tell if that's necessary.
The old-timers only had leather in the bottom rough side up which was plenty to hold the gold with the low amount of water.
It will be interesting to see if the backed moss flushes out enough or if it just holds way to much blonde sand.
Either way the fun of building and tuning equipment is often more rewarding than using them , looking good Ken and can't wait for you to post pick of it working ?

That's looking seriously tidy :Y: Have you thought about putting the back rocker on a vertical slide with a couple of wingnuts, then you can change the angle and deal with sloping ground?

apart from that is finished now to test on the weekend
Pulls apart into 4 sections for storage
