She is always on the lookout for spots for me to detect. Lots of places around the Lake where people camped right on the waters edge. That was before the fun police stopped that type of family holiday. Now you have to pay a caravan park. Silly me forgot to get a wider shot of the lake. Beautiful, peaceful spot.

Did some proper grinding today, string lines and all. I went to the spot Rocket and I found a few days ago and found a couple of pennies an early sixpence and 2 thripsL one being 1895. I was hoping for good things. Started in one corner and worked along it. I covered much more ground than I expected to, mostly because there was nothing to dig. Covered about 2 tennis courts in size for the total of 2 x 1 cents and 1 x 20 cent. 8.(

I felt dissatisfied so after a Doctors appointment I went to a park near her offices. Still no pre decs but I got 2/3 of a 1945 Victory medal and fuel money. No idea what the star thing is and don't think the button is old.

Congrats on the peace medal, there been a few medals located in the last couple of weeks. The other badge could be related to the freemasons, though the same symbols can be construed as Ottoman origin (marriage of the sun and moon), or even represented by the Kappa Sigma fraternity in the US. I'll leave all that up to your imagimation.

Met up with Clegy for a swing this morning. A few pennies n fuel money plus the 2nd ugliest ring I've found. It's just a junker. Clegy said he liked my little shelf thing I take photos on so I thought I'd throw up some pics of it. Pretty simple. Just glued some small wood strips to a piece of ply, add some hinges so I can adjust the angle and throw a black cloth over it.

I also scored one of Clegy's Gold digger, land or Sea pin pointers from one of his giveaway comps. Thanks mate. I'll test it out and compare it to the carrot. Glad to have it as I gave my spare pin pointer and spare detector to my father in law.
