nice button, I reckon the watch is a clock pendulum :) Maybe we should finish that site, instead of the beach.

Great little quick hunt, I like the look of the buttons condition, and what luck, a complete fob ! :D :p

Not a watch. Master Rocket tells me it's a clock pendulum. Came apart as I tried to clean it up.

Got to take up on those oppoortunites when they arise, still kicking myself after seeing the local council dig up the footpaths for pavers, could have proved to be a goldfield for old coins.

The button was a cool find, hopefully there are still a few older coins floating about tomorrow. :)

the clamp is off a set of hand cranked rollers that clamped to old concrete washing tubs.. used to get water out of clothes.. :)

Today I went to my favourite relic site to see what the day would bring. Been a lot of relics and not many coins from this site so after half hour and a couple of pennies I was hugely surprised with 3 florins and a halfpenny coin spill. SWEET. Well that's the highlight of the hunt thinks I. An hour or so later I got a couple of signals in the high 80s. I dig up a badge and the pin pointer went off again, another badge, and another and another... 15 badges and pins from one hole!!! Most seem to be from pipe bands or similar organisations. Absolutely blown away so I carefully scan all around the whole and half metre away I dig up the mouthpiece for a trombone or other wind instrument. An outstanding hunt.
Check the last pic, those stairs have seen a lot of boot leather going by the wear.

Not sure about the clamp device. Reminds me of the old vulcanized car tube repair clamps but on steroids.

Well there you go, I suspected there would be a good opportunity for a few older coins! ;) The threepence is still in great condition, and the trench art victory medal was also a really cool find.

A few nice pieces of bling in there as well, not to mention pickng up on some fob watch internals after yesterday's disappointment on missing out on one. :)
