They jump out at you from the most obscure spots,... usually totaly unexpected too.

Hit Rocket's new secret military spot... It was a bust First 2 pics are from there. 1 penny $2 + BBs. The only item of interest is in pic 3. No clue what it could be.
The second site was much better with me getting a penny right beside Rocket's car. A few metres further on and I scored a Florin and a penny together. A while later I got 2 pennies just below the surface and then another florin. Turned out to be a reasonable hunt. The pocket watch parts are 2 covers and the rim. I'm hoping I can separate the covers and that there is some kind of markings on it.
Rocket's 2 silvers came less than 10 minutes and 2 metres apart in a flogged area. I have been over that spot 2 or 3 times myself.

2nd spot isnt flogged enough Or maybe it takes a minelab, to eek out the hidden goodies.

Second spot was a hit, a couple of later Florins makes a change from the usual 1947 ones, a productive hunt.

Amazing what you can miss if you don't completely overlap your coil swings/try from different angles, the two shillings I hit with the big coil the other day were missed with the smaller coil, despite being a banger of a signal and previously gridding the area.

Any older coppers there Ramjet?

All credit for today's finds goes to Rocket. He selected both locations. The first wasn't that good to me but the second spot I really hesitated on. Rocket convinced me to give it a go. There ten minutes and bang, Penny, penny, sixpence, penny, halfpenny in about ten minutes. We had less than 2 hours there but I'm going to call it... honey hole.
The first 2 pics are from site 1. The treasure to trash ratio was much better at the 2nd spot. Last find on the way back to our cars was the old spigot. Not as nice as my other one but a pretty cool find.
On my way to work I stopped at a playground and got the $4 and the NZ 20 cents and a first for me. 10 Vatu from Vanuatu.

OH I have a few honey holes. Remember 64 coins including 3 Florin's in one spot that I have barely touched.
