Your poor sister! Is she OK now?
after a further 2 years or so shes ok now, & walking fine, but is still a bit timid about what horse she gets on.
they had to open her leg up right down to the knee & put steel plates in near full length.
Shes 1 tough cookie my lil siss {)
The point in this tho, is that necessity & adrenaline can make people do amazing things in desperate circumstances.
If you get shot & are bleeding out, your up ship creek if no help is at hand, but you would be too if you got bitten by a snake, were on your own, & a long way from help.
I just hope I don't ever see or hear of a prospector (or hunter, hiker, etc) getting shot. I guess it probably has happened somewhere, sometime previously.
Prospecting 1.01 : got water? :sunny:
1.02 : safety (& all that incorporates) :100:
1.03 : don't forget your detector (or pan etc) :8
1.04 : don't get lost. that can be death sentence :skull:
1.05 : remember to walk over gold to find it :playful:
and last but not least
1.06 : take more water :perfect:

fixed the link above

but I was actually looking for no metal hiking boots
https://www.aussiedisposals.com.au/clothing/hike-boots-shoes

and lightweight camo clothing
http://www.apexhunting.com.au/p/natural-gear-lightweight-pants-camo/NG-904-xxx

If you haven't got your boots yet, check out Olivers AT's Non metalic work boots

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Oliver-...3dbf44caf:m:mSfoFKQeqczgd61MYIyu_8w:rk:1:pf:0

Great boot, comfy as and hard wearing
X 2 on the Oliver's :Y:
Unlike other "non metallic" boots that had a composite toe but still had some metal (eyelets, zipper tab) the Oliver's appear to be completely metal free. No dramas using them with GPZ, GPX, QED, SDC + various VLF's.
I find them pretty comfortable for work boots & they are hard wearing. I've got 2 pair (1 zip side 1 without). Both comfortable with good ankle support but obviously the zip side is easier for getting on/off. I'd wear something like the Rossi boots but due to having sprained ankles over the years prefer a bit of extra support with the lace ups & a higher ankle now.
If you shop around you can find good deals on them. Not sure of exact price but I paid around $100 ea for mine on sale but have had them for a few years now.

There is zero metal in them. I've put the Deus, GPX45 and whites over them. Not a peep. I've got a busted ankle as well. No trouble doing 12 hour plus days on my feet. Have tried other brands but they wear out in 6 months. I get 18+ months out of the Olivers
