Found this web site today.

It has a very comprehensive list of fossicking areas by location and by state.
It also has an on site search engine to a list of 32,481 locations.
The map listings and maps are interactive with some background information on the types of fossicking relevant to the chosen area.
Also has downloadable GPX files for each map area, as well as listing GPS coordinates for each location.
Minerals, Gold, semi precious and precious gems/stones etc

I think it shall Phoenix.
It has lists of places I have never even heard of and also a sub menu "Fossicking By Mineral"
that list minerals in alphabetical order and each mineral has links to maps of known areas it can be found.
Some one has put a lot of work into the web site. :Y:

The wayback machine archive is a useful resource for dead or offline resources, as long as you know the URL.

It looks like World of shiny stuff (prospectinglocations.com) was last archived back in February.

Where is the downloads section. My view of the site shows gold charts being next to the Home button.

Downloads section is only available to paid members.
The maps/GPS locations are freely available elsewhere though.

I have looked and to me its way out of date
Does not show all gold places
I looked at 2 places that i know have mines on them and have found gold on them but they dont show up on this one
Make that 3 no gold at hill end
Not something i would use or depend on
