Here's another case in point.
Last month, the Federal Parliament passed legislation that will see GST applied to all consumer imports regardless of their value. Currently, imports below $1,000 are excluded from GST.
Since when did the Australian government have the legal and jurisdictional power to compel foreign businesses located in foreign countries to collect GST on sales to Australians?
How long before foreign Government decide to reciprocate and compel Australian businesses to collect and remit VAT/GGST on any sales online to foreign customers?
And another case.
Governments globally are looking at cracking down on cash payments (they say it is because of drug crime and black market transaction - ie one's the Government can't gets its grubby tax paws on). Late last year the Indian Government cancelled its 500 and 1,000 Indian rupee notes which caused chaos, ruined businesses and destroyed lives.
Last December there was speculation that the Australian $100 and even $50 would be scrapped. Now earlier this month...
"THE man charged with cracking down on the black economy has revealed how he would like to keep track of your $100 and $50 notes.
Hi-tech nano-chips would be implanted in Australias disappearing cash under a plan floated by Michael Andrew, the head of the federal governments Black Economy Taskforce."

Governments are going to get a lot more desperate for control and taxes as the global economic and financial ponzi/pyramid scams and printing money out of thin air come unglued. We are already in a Depression except is is being masked with rigged statistics and cooked books.
