Mate i generally dont clean them up. I do what i can to get a date and or identify the coin but thats about it.
There is no value to the majority of dug coins , cleaning will only reduce that value and you probably wont get it looking like a new coin anyway.

silver was the order of the day ...
and happily, i got some

But the this penny was the real stand out

I also got another item ,that may or may not resemble , but could possibly represent (in one way or another) our esteemed buddy.... :lol: :lol:

I went for a drive to follow up on a lead.
The lady of the house (no it wasnt the 'Bucket woman') seemed very dubious about my intentions .
She didnt say 'no' ... she took my name and phone number, and said she would talk to her husband tonight and let me know
ive got my fingers crossed
Anyway ... on the way home i stopped at a spot that looked very inviting
Got a few more silvers

Im certainly not disappointed but i wouldnt mind finding some of the bigger ones

Out n about again this morning
Alas ... no silver today (well,not yet anyway )
I did howerver get VERY excited when this came out of the ground

I scoured the surrounding area for about an hour but couldnt find its contents
Can anyone remember the numbers to be looking out for?
Gonna have to look that up

Got heaps of other bits n bobs , but this one is pretty cool

I know ive seen one before , just cant place it.
Im pretty sure its a draw handle though
