I have been messing around with my new Nokta pulsedive with 8" coil and found this handle in the ocean. Was a real mystery when I found it with an incredible amount of build up of whatever you call that corrosion product. Turned out to be some sort of iron handle (which I had guessed it might be) but I didn't expect bakelite as well. The bakelite has 2 or 3 smooth 'finger' grooves. My best guess is it's about 100 years old and the handle off an old kettle. Any other thoughts?
