Did an hour or so after work, showing my brother detecting, was a good way to reconnect with him, after many years with little contact. I may even get him into the hobby, reckons he will start saving (or I find him a cheapie to start him off).

No idea, doubt a mower did it, prob cut deliberately, for a reason that we will never know.
 
You would have to say that threepence was definitely clipped, not mowed, same with the penny. Someone got bored trying out a new pair of tin snips. :p
 
I've had a few clipped too, dont know what the motivation was to do it....... I always thought it was from a mower but a lot are probably not from mowers I now realise.
