just pointing out that I found the same charger for the sdc 2300 detector on the net for $25 when minelab sells the same product for a wopping $98 dollars plus postage

Both of those are stores based in the USA & in $USD?
You can buy it here for $98AUD at Miners Den or it would be about $36AUD + international post (approx. $38 standard or $95 express) from the Battery Junction store. If it fails then it's back to the US or in the bin.
Anything branded Minelab will be priced accordingly.
Personally I'd be looking at something of better quality that you could buy in Australia to do 2 x sets at once (8 batteries).

Have seen plastic handsoops / trowels of a very well knownbrand selling on evilbay as GOLD PANNING trowels / scoops for up to $29 when I can get the same identical plastic trowel at bunnings for $2.98 .

Back when I bought my first GP-3500 minelab had Great Prices, Then the 4000 came out within 4 months and everything with the ml brand went through the roof, My baseball caps went from 12 to 14 bucks to 36 to 40 bucks, my Sovereign GT went from 599 to 990 and my Musketeer Advantage went from 335 to 599 and then they stopped selling them, and everything went through the roof as they moved production over seas using cheap labour But the prices took a 40% price rise, At around this time I started using the MXT as my everyday machine and I paid 520.00 for the MXT-300 with the 12" Coil and last year I bought the MXT All Pro for 545.00 which is about $915.60 AUD so in all those years it's only gone up by $33.60 AUD, The Whites Dealer in OZ can't be classed in to this because he suddenly got greedy last year and now he has shot him self in the foot, In the rest of the world Whites are still cheap,

I was very proud of ML being an Aussie, but the Americans get them cheaper than the Aussie's do and the UK pays a premium like when the Z first came out at a mere $17,600.00, And because of a few other issues ml won't be lasting much longer over here, Which is very sad bought on by marketing and greed, These young "uns" from the EU are going to wipe ml out over here, Not only because of the new Tech but the pricing too, I can Fly to the US and buy a Z and still save $4000,00.

Loosing ML over here would be a crime against humanity and I wish we could have back the ML we once knew,

Check out their share price and dividends for last 10 years plus, wonder what would happen to ML if they were to sell at prices we want? Are they the greedy ones?

It's not unsporting at all, They have the choice to come here and comment,, But they choose not to,

They have made some great products ever since the SD series came out and the SD series are still better than anything else that has come on the markets since, When they moved production to over seas things should have got cheaper but sadly that was not the case and we have seen a huge price rise along with some good people that worked hard to put them on the map suffer in the process,

They have been very quiet on the VLF front for a while now so I am hoping that they will bring out something in the single frequency range, If they made a new version of the Musketeer Advantage or Relic Hawk I would buy it in a heart beat and if it was switchable from 5 to 15khz I would buy it even quicker, It was a great move to re-release the 4500 and I am hoping that they will do the same with the Musky.

Thus why I believe it is unsporting, you believe it is not is that your belief?. They`d be answering your criticisms and popularisms til the cows come home. Wouldn`t they? So I`ve answered for them with questions, but only cos I`m feeling sporting for a bit, have a shot at answering my questions RR.

They should not have to answer any of my comments, Because my comments are factual, Yes there was a huge price hike, Yes they moved production off shore and yes a lot of people got fired / hurt because of relocating their production line,

They are the facts, and that is Un-Australian, my comments are not unsporting or "unOZ" That is what happened.

Sorry but they are not my opinions,

1) ML did in Fact have a 40%+ price hike on their products.

2) ML Fact Did move Production to Asia.

3) Fact, Some very good people that you and I Both know Lost Their Jobs.

You see these facts as me having a go at ML, That is not the Case, These are not my Opinions, These are Facts that ML put in to Motion them Selves,

Please don't turn in to a personal thing because none of the above was my fault,

They have to do what they feel is right in order to survive in a competitive market, Whether it is right or wrong is irrelevant, And all of the above has happened to many companies, So they are not alone,

You keep pointing the finger at me all the time, I had nothing to do with any of it, And items 1 to 3 Are Facts, An increase from 335 to 599 is about 40%, And if ML are no longer being made in OZ where are they being Made,, and why do some really Good members no longer work for them ?

None of the above Changes the fact that ML are still the best of the best, but it is part of their history.
