I know that when Subzero won the Cup, somehow i had picked him in my own form guide and I also had him in the sweep at work plus a trifecta with my wife. Whew--don't forget those days.

Last time I won the cup was many moons ago with a horse called Vintage Crop, it was also an Irish horse from memory.

My melb cup started with Ten mins of sweeping and bam .62 grams!

How's this for an absolute bummer, gave my staff my list of who's gonna win as I had no time to put on any bets, and can you put all combinations in a trifecta and first four.
I gave him number 5 CIRCLED....that's my standout, I said i've taken 1 out of my list as a gamble even though its got good odds, and my other numbers are 3 4 12 22 and 24.
I gave him $100, and when 5 came first I was sure Id won both the trifecta and first 4 ....as I recall 4 and 12 and 24 were in my list. Somehow the bartender he got to help him omitted 4 when I needed it on the first ticket...and forgot to stand out 5 on the other ticket which had 4 and 12 and 24 in every combo.
So ive pretty much said 5's gonna win, and make sure 4 and 12 and 24 are in every combination.
HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET IT WRONG? My last winner was Vintage crop in the early 90's, and the day I spell it out but get someone else to put my bet on, im left $100 bucks down thinking ive won big. Not happy today!!! The only consolation was dad used the same numbers and won the 1st 4! Jealous and angry 18k down today

No luck here, but had a nice lunch and a few glasses with the girls in the office.
This story goes back to the 2012 Melbourne cup.
One of my wife's work colleges also works part time at Flemmington on race days which includes the cup. The day prior near knock off time she asked my wife if she would like her to put on any bets for her. My wife said no thanks. When they had finished work she said to my wife are you sure you don't want me to put on any bets for you? My wife then replied oh ok give me a box trifecta with 11, 14 and 30. 11 being hers and my birthdays, 14 being our wedding day and eldest daughters birthday an 30 being my youngest daughters birthday. Seeing there was not 30 horses in the race she just changed 30 to number 3.
Here are the results.

I placed a bet on R5 No. 2 Risen from Doubt Jockey N.Hall--$10-00 EW: Paid 107. Lost on the Cup came out $39 the better on the day.Hey big spender.

So who is everyones hot tip for the cup on tuesday ? Personally i will be going to 2 calcuttas to buy tickets on hartnell, also going to have a crack at him on the day , godolphin are due for a win and i really think this might be the year they do it.

Geez, with you on the united states but red cadeaux doesnt even get a look in for me, my first 4 will be hartnell, preferment, trip to paris and the united states if it gets in, if not will throw bondi beach in for 4th.
