For anyone who's putting a bet on the Melbourne Cup today, here's a tip.

Pick horses that do well on a heavy track - it's been belting down here!
Great for the rivers and creeks - not so much for the biggest horse race in the country - and the gents and ladies in their finery...

And a little unknown tip - no horse has ever won the Cup from barrier 18 - looks like 'Who Shot TheBarman' is doomed this year...
