Thought i'd share an artwork i've just finished. Many years ago i did a limited edition screenprint run similar to the artwork shown. Fortunately they all sold but unfortunately i didn't keep one for my wife and she has been on about it for years to try and buy one back for her. That didn't happen so i thought i'd do another one that looked similar. The one shown is about 30 x 20 inches and is done with a technical pen and is basically all made up of stippled dots. It's taken me over a month to complete, i finally painted the matt yellow background this morning and apart from signing it'

That is bloody fantastic Scrounger!

Awesome job and yep they are ugly, but are probably one of the nicest fish I have eaten!

Thanks for sharing mate

Cheers,

Billy.
Thanks Billy, i like that prehistoric look about these and some other fish that i find interesting to paint and draw.
You obviously came up A OK this morning as well? You and silver had quite a few of us entertained last night

Ha ha yeah mate up just before 5am and finished work not long ago.

It was a fun evening for sure and glad I could help with some entertainment.

The sargent baker fish has a sort of ancient look about it from memory, ( whats left of it after last night ha ha)

Cheers,

Billy.

That's amazing!

What a talent. I'd love to be able to do something like that.
You should do tattoos!

Thanks mate. I've met a few people over the years who have had tattoos done from some of my artwork spatch. I'd be too nervous i'd disfigure them  If i stuff up on paper or canvas i can ditch it and start again. Bit hard to do that with tatts

Very very good,, im a mad keen fisho (at resting phase atm) and have a mate who does beautiful art work too. I would love to see some more of your black and whites!!
But I do love pencil drawings of fish and lures all sorts really.
Ill take a pic of one of his water colors on my wall, different style to yours, but I like it.

I'd be very interested to see your mates artwork and I'll see if i can hunt out a trout watercolour i did not long ago and post it.

Been fishing hard for 30 years, having a bit of a rest from it now for a bit, sold my boat when I bought my house, needed extra cash for the deposit, still make lures though, will post a few pics in a new thread.

look forward to seeing more of your art mate, its awsome.

Great work as always Scrounger, have you ever tried doing that Japanese print thing .... dried fish skin/scales, inked and then paper pressed onto it.
Can't remember what it's called but can look terrific.
Cheers Tom
