Anyone else updating to the new model,im still on the 6 with a cracked screen so about time i think, just spoke to telstra and they also mentioned iphone 10,quite happy with what i have but the cameras improve slightly with each model,i dont use our digital cameras anymore just the ph,think they do an ok job if ya not into photography......

I phone 10 , I'm still using a 3 . Become a bit of a challenge to see how long it will keep going for.

Yeah im behind the times, only really know of samsung galaxy or iphone :(
Theres nothing like walking into the telstra shop and getting a new ph and plan updated though,i walked out half hr back with a smile thanks to the false illusion that the new ph is more or less free with the plan. haha
Geez Bjay ya made that one last, whats the story on the 10?

No idea on a 10 ya mentioned that the Telstra shop said something about it. Maybee its 10 grand to get one :) only reason me 3s still going cause I've never updated it as I was once told if I try to update too much it'll freak out and stop working. Seems to have worked.

oh ok read that wrong
just googled it and its 10 or iphone X,it would be a bit like standing at the trough i imagine, who's got the biggest..... :) :) :)

Missus has a iphone something and i have a telstra dave which is like a tuff phone, the biggest problem is when she she sends me a video i cant play it full screen  only as thumnail  i am pretty sure she hasnt successfully bluetoothed anything to other devices that arent iphones and in my opinion iphone and their system is junk compared to andriod .
But plenty people love iphones .

Just saw a meme on Facebook about the new I phone, you can buy 46 cartons of xxxx gold for the price of an I pH x!
Not sure about the gold but if inclined I would stick with the almost years supply over a phone thingy :)

Wouldn't have a clue about the different types and how some are better than others. My old banga still works so I'm sticking to it.

I've got an iPhone 5 and it's as good as gold.

Wife has a 7 and camera is a bit better and screen is a bit bigger. Can get into it with thumb print rather than code.

We are an apple family - 9 iPhones, 2 iPads, 5 iPods over the years and have been happy with them all. The iPad I'm currently typing on is 6 years old and working fine.

It is also very hard now to move away from Apple considering the number of apps, songs, etc that we have in iTunes. But also have no reason to move away from Apple.

I've used Samsung multiple times through work and find them very difficult to navigate compared to apple products.

Never used Huawei so can't comment.

New iPhone X apparently $2000 to buy upfront. Face recognition to open instead of passcode - whoopy doo.

iPhone 8 is essentially no different to the 7 - minor screen change or something insignificant.

Considering 7's will now be a bit cheaper that will be my next phone when current one eventually dies.

Bjay - updating is fine as long as you consistently update. If you miss 7 updates, for example, and then try and update it just can't work out wtf is going on and doesn't work. Probably some way to get around it but I don't know it. I think you'll also find that iOS updates and apps won't be relevant to models before iPhone 5 in the near future.

The Dave isnt made anymore , its a smart phone and in my area it out performs any other phone for service and the service is still rubbish .

Probably a better aerial in the unit ozfarmer, before i got an iphone i had an old flip up samsung or something, put a 4ft aerial on the cruza and patch lead into ph and it could get service 30-40klms further out, quite handy.
My only gripe with the iphone is this is not an option sadly cause throw the iphone in a lifeproof case and its a pretty rugged setup i reckon,i take mine anywhere, beats carting a camera,a few apps can be handy for prospecting also ive come to realise.....
