Thought I would put up another photo or two . Not much work been done on it in the last few months .

The handle and wheels will only be used to move from one spot to another . The legs slot and bolt onto the main frame , might need some cross bracing but I want to keep it clear under the drum to get plastic buckets in .

I have put a small flywheel on , it was sitting under the bench doing nothing .
Decided to do a little more to this . Had the engine running but found that I needed to put it on rubber mounts . $12 for 4 from E-bay . Also need to beef the frame up . Drilled holes 10 m.m. on the ends so that I can weld 2 bars in to make it more rigid . The legs can still be removed but as a pair . Also made 4 braces out of 32x3 m.m. flat that will bolt on front and back . When I get it done I will put up a photo .

A great project Mike. I'll never use one but by looking at your photos I now know how they work. Very neat.

yes Mike, I've been using my impact mill a bit used it again a few days ago and knocked a bit of gold out of some quartz

I have put "D" shackles so I can change the outer links quick and easy and it all seems to be working well

I am still around ! Decided to put an electric motor on instead of the petrol one . Hope to get one next week . If it gets used in the bush , will have to take a 1,000 watt generator .

Just check your power draw on startup. 1000w generator won't start a very big electric motor.

Single phase electric motors as a rule of thumb is start up current will be 15 times run current. Only high draw until motor has spun up and cuts out start windings.
