I was out the other night, only had 2 jackets on and one beanie.

Its been usually 3 jackets, the 'clava and beanie on top - sometimes the hoodie as well. That wind from the antarctic was super cold at night

Well i was going to complain about it only being about 8 degrees and raining down here in Ballarat. But after seeing what you're getting DropBear i think i'll keep quite.
My daughter lives in Sydney and she said it's been cold up there, but give us some temps Brian. I think you Sydneysiders are just like those further north, start saying how cold it is when it gets below 20. :lol:

The weather down here in Ballarat has been rediculous lately, specially with the wind, been heaps of rain as well, about the only good thing about this place is that there is gold to be found. Maybe I'm just used to living up on the Murray but it just seems to be pretty crappy weather here most of the time. Even when living up in the high country at Corryong the weather seemed better most of the time, even summer in Ballarat doesn't get that hot.

Gold and good trout fishing ozziii. Corryong often has the hottest and coldest days in the state, but the fishing is also fantastic there. The weather people were saying it's been the coldest winter in something like 20 years!!! But i agree, the weather here in Ballarat is bitter this year. I like the summers here for the very reason they're not super hot. But this is getting crazy!!

I reckon it was 7 degrees or less but the wind chill factor was huge.

Yep 6 in Goulburn and a cold wind, feels like 2. As others have posted its snowing in Canberra, and only about 2. Two friends have messaged me about the snow in Canberra.

We got snow on one day down here last winter but not here as yet this year. But it really is noticeably colder than last winter. Is Goulburn near Canberra DrDuck?

I love it up here when the weather is like this. I'm originally from Vic so it's a bit amusing when people are complaining about how cold it is up here. Love Cairns this time of year.

Well I guess we will have to get use to global warming or is it climate change.

Minus 16. That's amazing that cattle are dying Digger. I'm even more surprised that only about 5 humans have died. Yeah, makes anything above minus degrees seem quite balmy doesn't it?
