Disapointed , I have a coolant system leak that is using about 1 litre of water every 500-600 kms .. Im guessing one of the hoses has an issue with leaking when the engine is pressurised ...engine otherwise is running fine.
Nothing visable .. Endine oil is clear as is the water in the radiator no bubbles there either .. Engine is running good not over heating at all. But when I stop and check the water it needs a top up ..when we get to our destination I will have to have a very close look atveverything under the hood and find where the leak is located.madtuna said:Bugger!
No sign of a leak when parked up with motor running?

check your over flow reservoir bottle. Than do tend to crack easy with age, some only leak when hot. Check the line going to it as well.
Some car designs are naturist for air locks within the motor and hoses after replacing coolant. After the motor gets up to proper running temp, and high working revs the air locks can get forced back in to the radiator then it ends up bubbling back into the reservoir bottle. After this happens you can see the running temp becomes less erratic. Jeeps where known for this with the top hose being so high above the motor.
