Interesting times indeed. Another system coming at us from W.A.
Port Augusta getting flooding atm, Adelaide now copping some flooding as well. Raining here but no wind so far.
Bucketing down here atm. Still only a breeze though. Poor farmers are going to be sooo pi $#ed off some still were not going to be finished harvest until mid January, now this.

We get strong winds too but this is a once in 20 year event for us.
I joined the SES in 1986 although I'm not an active member now. I have seen some rather nasty storms. This is strange, I can not recall ever seeing a cyclone travell all the way through Australia and still packing a punch at the end they usually end up as a low depression . Now we have another brewing in the West.

Yes that is a strange one but these days there is a lot of things happening that are strange and out of the normal order of things that should be happening

Found the banging. Next door neighbors gate blowing up against our fence. Secured now. SES guys just arrived at their station just up the road from us. Long night for them. Winds still pounding. I'd hate to be caravaning in this weather.

Morning. Power came back on about 09:15.
Lots of tree branches down, can hear chainsaws going. Man what a blow that was. Hard to say how much rain we had most of it was going horizontally.
