I think you will find that some people buy coins from ebay and then find them in australia in a lot of cases
There may have been coins from collections that people brought across and lost, but the chinese coins found in the NT were shallow on the beach and in fantastic condition strange as they do not last very well in the goldfields im a sceptic
People love a great story but it is very rarely backed up with scientific evidence, and i for one get cranky when people start playing with australias real history
Have to agree with you duck.. I also hate how some distort or even invent history to back up claims for theories that have zero substance in documentary evidence. We are seeing this with some who claim visits to Australia that predate the first Dutch Or Portuguese explorers. The mentality of, we were here first does not sit well with my dads side of the family, who go back 40,000 years.
