And my Dad's radio gear/station before he passed. Stuff I grew up with. The big green is an amp he built with an 833A tube in it.

I dunno.... when they went from an analogue clock face watch.. to a digital watch face..... and then it actually had a calculator on board.... the world almost melted....

Yeah, an AD by a communications company!
They are harping on about the band, HF. Not Ham Radio.
Fact is with the advent of the internet, communication is soo much easier, ergo, ham radio and it's operators on the decline... massively..
A digital format for Ham use could entice many new operators to not only set up a digi mode at home in their 10th floor apartment, but put an antenna on the car and see how 'real' ham radio works?

Anyway, talking digital, my PSU and G90 arrived today!
Unbelievably, no rg58 pl259 plugs in town!! Cant be bothered going with RG213 so have to wait to get some wire in the air!

Anyway, talking digital, my PSU and G90 arrived today!
Unbelievably, no rg58 pl259 plugs in town!! Cant be bothered going with RG213 so have to wait to get some wire in the air!

What kind of crazy amateur radio needs an antenna and can’t just plug into your internet connection to work, what century are you in man? LOL (just playing with you).

The 'Bow-Fun' DM-1801 arrived...
My programming lead wont work so have ordered the correct one...
Absolutely NO IDEA how to program this baby!!
Hot spot parts have arrived... so another couple of weeks I should have learn't how to put this all together and have my mobile DMR hotspot in Cairns!!!

I mean it's all cool for things to run on software, but the hardware has to be up to the task??!!
HF and UHF in the same tiny box??? Unheard of for the price point!!!
