My point is I do not detect anyway so perhaps carries little relevance. I did not intend it as criticism. If its taken as such it implies more about the reader than the statements within it.

I can buy a 5 figure yacht but that does not automatically give me the ability to sail it.
I can hit a nail with a sledgehammer too. 10 grand will purchase alot of time and effort. For alot of members that would be the best of couple of months to pay for it working for wages. Equally they could spend that ge tting to depths and gold the jupiter will not reach.

But as I said I hope you and and anyone else searching finds a life changer. Perhaps it might be the highlight of a lifetime. I would not wish to take that dream from anyone.

I don't see it as Criticism, just indirect, and you are correct with your Comparisons

Well I was waiting for the impending "if you're not a detectorist" so I stated as such. Buy a jupiter, dont buy a jupiter, I pay no mind. This does not however make observations any less relevant.

I reconsidered the rest of my response because in reflection it would be considered instigating. However I implore you to direct your personal summations about any mindset you percieve of me personally over to the real vent topic if you wish. Im equally able to lower the bar to pointless denegration of character in the appropriate section. I leave it at your discretion.

Is there any need for this??

whether you detect or Not is irrelevant, you still have A Valid Opinion and a Right to Express it.

Also can you please hit the quote button of the post that your comments are directed at because it is hard to know to who you are talking too,

LMAO! I think everyone is suffering a bit of yellow fever :/
Yellow fever, known historically as yellow jack or yellow plague, is an acute viral disease. In most cases, symptoms include fever, chills, loss of appetite, nausea, muscle pains particularly in the back, and headaches. Symptoms typically improve within five days. In some people within a day of improving, the fever comes back, abdominal pain occurs, due to a lack of gold. If this occurs, the risk of kidney problems is also increased with the elevated consumption of alcohol.

The disease is caused by the yellow fever virus and is spread by the introduction of a new detector. It only infects humans. It is primarily spread by Forums. The virus is an Aurum virus of the genus Goldus. The disease may be difficult to tell apart from other illnesses, especially in the early stages. To confirm a suspected case, blood sample testing with a copy of the GG&T magazine is require. Cure release the bloody thing!

No need to cast a line it appears I have a live one here.

By your own reasoning then, and relevant to the topic, why have you commented on the pricing and release date if you are not involved with the pricing and release date? I hope you enjoy the wonderful thrill you seem to have thrived upon since the topic was opened in relevance to this point. I am in great anticipation of the release just to observe your ego deflate because in the aspect you will become completely irrelevant.

If self involved detectorists were the only relevant input into detecting and gold the industry would die a sad and swift death.

Again open your mind to something more than a throw away line or two and you may rise to your potential. Otherwise I envisage a satisfying ending to such nonsense when someones appendage is directed at the closed mind you appear to champion.

I will not be drawn any further other than its a small world bud.

Ok, Politeness Hasn't work, Enough is Enough.

The Price of the Machine is relevant and in line with the topic as are all aspects of the machine from the weight to the Performance, If you do not do detecting then you have to except it when others say what impact these things have on A Persons bank account and the possibilities of getting a return upon their investment,

All other things are Equal.

The gpx series still excels at gold detection, and its platform will remain relevant long after the rush of the impending gpz. I find the above statement non plus. If the sd series is still recording finds with the ability of the gpx series out for many years I would suggest the underlying success is not dependant soley on the latest technology, rather methodology and intrinsic ability of operation at a competent level.

To impart, grey nomads have heralded the gpx 5000 as a quasi retirement income generator offset by implied finds. It qualifies for them the hard way, especially when they forget to buy a $10 rake after expending the cost equivalent of a small comfortable one bedroom unit for the procurement of a caravan, tow vehicle and a "flash" gold finder accessorized. The sheer amount of workable realty will overcome the rapid and enthused uptake of zvt, this should be fairly implicit.

Big nuggets to you all, jupiter or no.

And Your Point Is,???

It is a fact that the GPX has found 000s of Nuggets since its Birth and there are so many people here that have said that they found nothing on many trips out to the Bush, So if the GPX has found all those Nuggets then The GPZ will make a massive difference, Just Like when the SD machines did when they came out, and this means that people are going to have to go further in Land to find new patches, Or Buy A D9, My statement was not meant to be A Plus, Just A Fact.

No detector gets all the Gold and you still need to know where to look. Experienced users with patches they have cleaned up in the past will probably benefit the most. The areas out there are huge, they could never be covered by 10000 operators. That's why I'm holding out until 2nd hand units are available, they will be a hot potato for someone desperate to offload and try to recoup outlay.

In ground covered by GPX's and SDC's you are certainly going to need the GPZ because any of the nuggets left will be deep. Just hope people remember to fill thier big holes in again.

I can imagine the day it's released, an army of people with GPZ's all racing out to be the first at the Hill End common to stake thier area, lol.

& I'll be still plugging away picking up scraps & speccis with the now "outdated" SDC  Even a GPZ won't clean that place up fully :D
I'm with you Heatho - I'll be waiting on a used unit if/when I take the plunge. Come to think of it - I've only ever purchased 2 x new machines & neither of them was a gold detector. Good used machines with warranty left is the go!

Definitely the way to go with 2nd hand units. The "outdated" SDC is getting plenty of love from me, poor old 5k needs a run.

I'm in the "if" crowd also.

Just thinking the other day that if I still had my 5000 how much use would it be getting. Not much still at the moment I reckon. The 100% record still stands with the SDC, although I'm yet to pick up anything around Sofala/Wattle Flat yet - my one day out there was only saved by a detour through Hill End on the way home  . Would be good to get through this year with it still intact :p Can't see that happening - my lucks gotta run out sooner or later.

If you can keep it above 90% you're doing great I reckon, hopefully we'll both get a few bits from WF/Solala sooner or later. I might give it another crack in a few weeks, still feeling cocky after the bit from SC. :D

I need a speci for the collection so far they have elluded me.

That's Very True, and a great comfort to hear for many.
