Hi all,
After about 25 years of not prospecting I have decided its about time to get the gear out of the shed and wet a pan. I live about 60 kms from Mudgee and 40 kms from Sofala,so there is a lot of gold bearing country close by. A creek 10 minutes down the road produces a few colours and will be a good place to start honing the old panning skills back. Keen to learn and also pass on some info.

Greetings Carwell, and welcome to the forum, one of my pans doubles as the peg basket, so you can tell I wouldn't get out panning a great deal, detecting is another matter though,... cant store pegs in a coil.
