I noticed somewhere else that you werent sleeping due to pain.

Are you taking your pain relief? Seems like a silly question but lots of people dont want to get addicted so they dont take what has been prescribed. Pain can slow your recovery so control it if youre able to.

People often think basic Panadol are just lollies and dont do anything. 2 Panadol taken 4 times a day will often provide a nice base level of relief and then something else like Endone can be used when pain starts to escalate.

Are you eating and drinking ok?

How are the bowels? Remember that opioid based tablets like Endone can constipate. Plenty of water.

A high temp, increasing pain, swelling, redness around the surgical area, increased exudate on the surgical dressing can all be signs of infection. Better to get onto an issue early than wait for it to become a major problem.

All of these are general suggestions. Im certainly not asking you to answer them here - just things for you to think about. We dont want to hear about your bowels

And obviously, if you have a problem see your doc ;)

Hi Northeast ,

All good on taking the pain relief ,

Have Endone , panadol forte... I don't take both...

Just when you sit up or sit back down it all most Nock's you back on your feet,

Or if you roll funny in bed ouch ,

Drinking plenty of water...

Going to the toilet fine....

I am a AIN and my friend is a RN so I am in good hand's,

No redness around any of the keyholes...

No temperature....

Only had the operation on Monday,

so some pain to be expected..

Some discomfort to be expected...

Have to go back to the doctor tomorrow for a check up,

Goody :)

Good to hear.

The pain can also get worse with laughter so try to avoid anything too humorous...
