My final dig for 2017 at Goldie Park, it's such a wonderful place and I'll miss it but it's time to move onto a new spot.
I managed to get to the old stable sight today and picked up a 1963 Half Penny, also had a walk around and found a spot that may have been the old
jockeys quarters....

May the detecting gods be with you all. :) :Y:
still a good hunt, just give it a year to refill a bit

But are you REALLY sure you got them all? That's a lot of coins for a well done over site ]:D

Well it sparked my curiosity to see how much I missed and the answer is not much....I was correct in saying it would be hard yakka because for the first 2 hours only 3 good targets....I walked and walked and got excited at the slightest beep, it reminded me of when I first received the detector from winning the contest back in December 2016.

Anyway I can safely say I got a lot of it, not all but I'd say the majority share of the bounty from Goldie Park....Today I had a first there with a Sunbaker ring a ding ding.....So I am happy and time now to move. Thanks Ktmman if not for your post someone else would have found the ring. :)

Forecast next week is for warm weather so hopefully by the end of the week I can get a beach dig in. :)

All the best everyone. Cheers GDA :) :Y:

Got out to the creek track this arvo for a quick swing in a small section and was quietly surprised to find some pre-decimals all in great condition....
Very happy and found evidence of an old house sight which is why there were so many pre-decimals in this one spot.

Excellent result gda ! :p
first of many for that site we hope. 8)
:Y: O:) :Y:

Thanks Silver mate.....That's the best Com Half I've ever gotten and I shall look after it....could be an EF coin worth $55 or at worst a VF $6 but to me it is priceless and may see the Tumbler... lol :Y:

Most early 1900's house sites I have detected always have a good spread of dates on the predecimals. You might be in with a chance of a few silvers at that house site with some luck, nice hunting. :Y:

Now that helps me out a lot because I was really puzzled over the random dates... :) Thanks mate. :Y:

So today Kiara and I went to the Creek Track and I did a section which I never tried before, the reason is because there are always sooo many people around I wouldn't get any detecting done, they'd be in my ear non-stop.
First target was a Fob/Pocket watch Face Plate, it was kind of random where it was situated and I knew somewhere someone had thrown the rest of it away and I was correct, about 5 metres further along down a small hillside track I hit on a loud signal which was a surface hit, it was hidden under the leaves and when I moved them I got a pocket watch with the glass in it but it was light.... More swinging in the same spot gave me the inner workings of another Pocket watch and I was happy with my finds.
Not far away say two metres on the same bit of hilly track I hit another nice signal and all I could think of was Pocket watch, Pocket watch.....
I was quietly surprised to find a Lead Battleship....amazing I thought to myself.....No more good signals came out of there so Kiara and I walked and picked off whatever targets we could and did okay with some coinage and a beauty of a Rams Head shilling....
Twas a good day and even Kiara enjoyed it a little more than usual. :)

Thanks mate, it makes it so much easier for everyone to see because sometimes the pictures just don't capture the finds well. :) :Y:

What a great spot you have
Seeing those pics of your track......You've got me thinking now ;)

Thanks Sandta, yes this part of the track is next to a railway station which is why I can only go there on a Sunday when it's quiet....Was surprised to find the Fob Watch parts and also thought how many more were discarded over the banking. Will revisit again with Kiara. :) :Y:
