When the tides are low there's only one thing to do.. Got out last night but got to the beach late so missed a good 2 hours detecting time. Still managed a few good finds, pennies half pennies a florin, sixpence, petrol money and an 18ct gold ring with my initials in it, what are the chances of that happening.

This could be 9k but not sure..

9k is usually more copper coloured. I suspect more like 18k. It was more popular in the making of lockets. Very nice find.

Nice finds! Does that heart locket open? Is there anything in it? Could be marked inside.

It might have been bought by a digger in Egypt for his sweetheart back home. "Love, AJ" on it.

Looks like it's gone through a rough time! Great find though.

Yes it opens and is pretty best up, the inscription says 'Love from Alf' no hallmarking inside it.

So the beach washout is still producing lots of finds and the rough weather the other night stirred up the rocks and sand releasing more finds. My guess is the Gold is deeper so hoping for a lot more big tides to keep the finds rolling in. Scored a full house this morning having been out at Midnight till 6am this morning. Lots of shallow finds so I will be hitting this spot again and again.

Well 2020 has been good for myself, my wife and family... October was the end of lockdown and I could get out for a good detect.
My first beach dig started off good and up until now it just got better and better...
Massive pre-decimal patch and spendable patch also a ring patch, the targets were 12 to 15 inches deep in some spots but I didn't mind as I worked an 8 by 10 metre area, I'm just waiting for the next lot of very low tides to find another patch.
Anyway my finds from 20th Oct up to today.
