Well I got out for a dig mid week and did okay considering I never spent much time detecting because of the kiddies, the grandson and more news to come later in the year.
2 Digs midweek most of the coins came from the 1 hour swing at the park.
Saturday was a bust, I spent about 1 and a half hours swinging for a huge total of 30 cents, it was the lowest total I have ever had...I did however manage to pull out an old Pendant with a 9k Chain and some bling...
Today I spent 4 hours swinging and I was asking for Goldies but only manged to pull out 95c in the first hour....No rubbish meant no people on the beach and it also meant the Beach cleaner did a good job.....
I finally moved down toward the waters edge and hit a nice crisp 30 Tid and I thought whoooo first goldie but I was quietly surprised with a fat juicy silver ring....
After another hour till no coins so my day was tarting to look grim but I hit a beach hut and underneath I got a Pandora 925 silver....
I said to the Universe, give me more rings then and instead I got coins finally....
If I didn't get any more coins I would have been totally happy with the 2 rings and 95c but as luck would have it I followed my instincts and it paid off with an $11.85c Coin spill, there is one spot on the beach which is popular and has white sand....Something about the sand draws people to it....I have done this section many times before but it was covered with topped up sand....The tides have been big and cuts have formed so lucky day for me in the end.
Totally enjoyable and with GDG - Kiara away for a week on camp from Monday to Friday I'll be doing a few solo digs....
I think it is Quartz....
Amber Pendant in Silver casing with 9K Chain
Until next time, happy digging everyone and all the best...
Cheers GDA :Y:
