Must be the same crowd that eat carrot cake.
Where do Hash Browns fit in?
Manpa my mum made mock fish more times than I can remember, helped keep 10 kids at bayAs kids we knew potato cakes as mock fish. Potato scallop is a potato fritter or potato cake in SA fish shops.
Do they do "fish bits" in Australian chippy's? They are basically all the bits of batter that fall off the fish during frying....As a kid we always asked for these when we got chips as they were a freebe...I ve been told they are banned from giving them away now, but I am not sure if that's true or not...As kids we knew potato cakes as mock fish. When did scallops turn into potatoes? oddWhen I go into a fish and chips shop and ask for scallops, I expect to get battered and fried scallops. Yummy but they are made out of scallops not potatoes.
They don't do them in my local and have not heard of one that does.Do they do "fish bits" in Australian chippy's?
