Just thought I’d introduce us…a couple on KI..I was born here hubby moved here with his family the year and month I was born and we have been together since a young age. I’m just nearly 41 and we have been together 26 years.
We have always wanted to hunt for gold and watch all of the usual prospecting shows after much research on the historical mines etc here we went out and have finally been successful in finding a speck or two! It’s tiny but it’s gold and we are having a blast! The info on this forum has been incredibly helpful and we are so happy to be here and hopefully share our journey! IMG_0090.jpeg

Take a look at the gold geology to your NNE (the Mainland). It's not surprising you're finding some gold - and there'd be a lot more in the ocean between where you are and the mainland (it's the same geology, plus runoff from the rivers).
