Liking the threepence, despite the hole it should clean up pretty good with a bit of bi-carb soda and water. Also good to see your junk, gives people a realistic idea on how many bad targets it takes to get a good one.
Very good MZ
Love that enamel pin/brooch... And of course that silver
good for you... Congratulations!
Hope you get to post the 'all cleaned up' picture in the oldest coin game
That would be a real treat ....good luck
Couldn't do any better than finding a chunk of near pure silver (other than gold), great find! The lower frequency detectors tend to hit well on silver - and copper coins.
Money, badges(nice enamel) and jewellery,...that's almost a full house, all you needed was a bit of militaria to top that one off Mike.
Do a little grid tomorrow and see how that goes for you,...it puts you into a few zones that you (and everyone else) miss if you just hit randomly.
You hit the pre-dec jackpot, I'd be gridding up every part of that racecourse based on just an hours detecting, well done. Couldn't ask for a better spot to look for old coins than a racecourse!
Good onya Mike,....raining silver down your way,...all 925 silvers as well,..well done mate, I would do a wonder around first, then a bit of a cross section,.. just to know where the best spot to start gridding (like Goldpick says) is.
I knew there would be some good coins just waiting for you to find them, excellent hunt! The Ace hits pretty good on the silvers, and there's bound to be a lot more of them.
